In Nepal, it is partly because of the lack of education. Around 50 % of women still can’t read or write. But when cultures are driven by such ancient traditions, everything will still take time. Change is underway, but it is def slower for the marginalized groups and most women.

I have been breaking my head over this when I worked in Nepal. Women will eventually rise because there is no other way!
