Tree Time

A poem

Droplets sliding down a saturated tree
moving in eternal forms and swells
a melting winter in her encrusted heart.

Guardian in reciprocating loving hugs
losing time in passion with one another
a soul union as if entangled ceaselessly.

Leaves eavesdrop on her silent whispers
shouldering grief, the trunk her pal
bark a reminder of inert zest still alive.

Lies unfolding from past and future, too
shielding secrets in space and times
withstanding as witness of all mankind.

Branches swirling in a soothing flurry
weaving a perpetually majestic crown
shelter for humans lost in dark despair.

Figures clinging to numbing trepidation
hurrying hither in dim disguises alike
past the very revelation so close to see.

A love song sailing from her frosted lips
humming chimes for the returning soul
beyond all ignorance towards the light.
